I have a set for my BX2230 60"mmm and they are a nice way to save floor space plus move the mower around or even work on it ( I had someone hold it while I took off the blades to sharpen them) I got the bigger wheels thinking it would roll easier when I took it into my gravel drive to pressure wash the deck. They still would not roll and I had to hold the front end up to move them in gravel. You also have to lift one end to change direction when you are rolling it around. The wheels and axle are easy to install but the whole unit weights 250 lb and is a lot for me to lift from the flat position to a standing position. Once you have it up on the wheels it is very stable and would take a hard knock before falling over. They give you a chain to attach it to the wall so it will not fall over and hurt someone. I would buy again.

How does the Land Pride Quick hitch fit a BX2230?<br>
Will it work on the smaller tractor with less lift height?<br>

If your BX23 is the same as my BX2230 you do not have the rod type level indicator. instead they give you a flat thing at the top of the bucket. I could also use some advice from others who know a whole lot more than me on how to use the bucket more efficiently. But what I do is try to make sure it looks as level as possible, rather than trying to look at the bottom of the bucket. You can see this from the seat on the right hand side of your bucket. It also does not help much when you want to just shave a little off the top With practice it gets better, but I still dig a hole once in while when I don't want to.<br>

My BX2230 leaked at the same connection, the dealer came out and fixed it for nothing under warranty and also found that I was not getting full pressure in my hydrolic system so he changed it to get it back to factory specs. Keep an eye on the leak to make sure it does not start again.

The service man came yesterday as planned, he spent about 4 hours working on various connections and noticed a few other things that needed adjustment. My float position on the loader was hard to get into and out of float, so he took it all apart and made some adjustments, changed the pressure on my hydrolic value to bring it back to factory spec.
We had about 45 minutes waiting for some parts to be delivered so he took the time to go over the whole tractor and give me a better understanding of how things work. A very worthwile experience and all under warranty except for the travel time. What a great dealer.
I used the loader for about 30 minutes last night and everything was dry, no more leaks.

I have the 60" mmm on my BX2230 and I think the extra with helps mow closer to trees, buildings etc without getting the wheels so close. It is also better when mowing under bushes etc with the wider deck sticking out from the wheels and the tractor.
I have no problem with the way my 60 deck mows, I have mowed wet grass higher then the front wheels and had no problem ( not that it looked like a lawn, but it cut everything) Dry grass mowed every week will look great.
60" can be tight getting between some trees etc, but I had a 42" before this so I had to adjust ( I took out the tree)

Thanks to all for the advice, my tractor has had very easy work until the last couple of weeks of picking up leaves. Mostly mowing and I do allow about 5 minutes of idle time each time I start it so it warms up.

I am new to diesels, I purchased a BX2230 and have a question about warming up the engine, Am I doing it right?
I now start the engine and let it idle in the garage for about as long as it takes to move my car out of the way,
Then I back the tractor outside and let it run just above the idle until the temp guage is up to the normal range before I start to use the tractor. I have been doing this because someone told me not to do any work until everything is warmed up.
Should I give it more RPM's in the warmup
Is it OK to back it out of the garage while it is still cold
What should I do when I want to use it to clear the driveway, How long does the winter warmup take and how fast should I have the RPM's?
Also, my temp guage has never gone above the bottom of the normal range even on hot days when I mow is that normal?

I bought a BX2230 in April with 60 mmm and a bagger, I used the bagger several times when I could not keep ahead of the grass in the spring. It worked great Putting it on and off was more of a chore than it looks like it should be. We finally got directions from the factory See the details on AV8R web site for what works on installing, It really helped.<br>
I have not used my bagger much this summer, too much fun mowing so I don't let the grass get that long, in a few weeks the leaves will start to fall, then I will use it a lot. I have enough trees that I get about 2 pickup truck loads a week of leaves even after mulching them in the bagger. I would never get them cleaned up without a bagger.

I had an old 18 hp Ford with 42 mmm and 5 hp Briggs vacaumn on the back. It was a pain to use compared to the new BX2230 with 60mmm and Kubota rear bagger.
The old unit was always getting clogged up, plus you had to get off the tractor to start and stop the seperate unit.
The Kubota has only clogged once on me, I was cutting a full 60 inch with of very tall wet grass right after it stopped raining ( I know you are not suppose to do that, but that was the only time I had)
The Kubota is much easier to install check out AV8R's web site he has good instructions on installing it.
Buy the Kubota vacumn, you will not be sorry if you use it.
You do not have to mow 2 or 3 times a week in this wet weather when the grass grows overnight Once a week works fine with the bagger.

I got a BX2230 in April with a 60 mmm and I love the way it cuts, I only have 24 hrs on it but it is very even and smooth. I have not had any skips between the blades when turning or problems scalping the high spots. The dealer set it up for 3 inches and I have kept it there. I used to mow closer and I like the extra length of the grass, It is much thicker this year. That could be because it rains so often this year but I think the extra length helps<br>
I have noticed that if I keep making sharp turns around some of the trees, I get marks from the small wheels on the mower were they slide in a tight turn especially were the inside of the turn is higher than the outside, the outside gets marks. Now I don't turn as tight as it will go, I make the turn with several backups and the marks have gone away.

I did not know what to think, all other levers move easily.
When it does not want to move, it feels like there is something giving but I do not want to pull/push to hard.
That is probably why kicking the PTO in and out of gear until it moves easily works. I will look at manual again, I read it when I got the tractor last month, but did not go back on this item.

MY BX2230 with 60 MMM is cutting very nicely
The grass is very heavy because it has been raining everyother day, but it still cuts very smooth,in some places I am going back over it twice just to mulch up the clippings.

I am also questioning if it will hurt to wait until spring, I am concerned that the price will go up, but around the 1st of May, I will be getting a bonus that will help to pay for my tractor. If Kubota puts in a price increase to the dealers, I would rather put down a deposit and have the dealer hold one for me until I get my check.
Have you heard anything about increases on the BX2230's
The other concern is that I need to clean a space in my garage to put the new tractor.

I am looking for a BX2230 with FEL, 60MMM and rear catcher, the best quote I have been able to get so far is $14,000 and the dealer will throw in a set of real wheel weights and a grill guard. It sounds good to me but I wanted to see if anyone has something better. I live in Central Pa?
