Weld some backhoe bucket teeth to a piece of flat stock the same length as your bucket width. Then bolt the flat stock to your buckets cutting edge. You can probably buy something similar premaned.

I bought a cheapy tiller from a discount farm supply (QT Farm and Country). You get what you pay for. If I did it again, I would buy a name brand, Howard, JD, Landpride (heavy duty series), Bushhog. BTW, Howard makes JD's tillers.

I have a 47 backhoe. I reverse the feet all the time. It gets better grip in soft material. You should have bought a 48 for that size tractor.

I ripped my housing off within first 50 hours of use. You probably wacked it on something. It is in a very vulnerable place. When you order a new one, order a spare.

I don't know first hand, but I've been told that Howard tillers are the best made. They make John Deere's tillers.

I noticed the same lack of power when at travelling speed in c range. It has dissapeared with time on the tractor (due to break in period).

You can calculate areas, volumes, and cross sections all day. They still don't replace good old practical experience. I have a JD 4200 (20 HP PTO) with a Patu DC-65 mechanical feed chipper. I haven't been able to jam anything thru the feeder that even made the tractor burp. Six inch ia probably the biggest I've tried. Make sure you get one with hydraulic feed like you said.

I broke off the trany filter housing on my new JD 4200 Saturday. When I removed the trany filter, it was full of metal shavings. The dealer said this is common with new tractors. Anybody see this before?

I have a 4200 that acts similarly. It seems like it got a lot better in warmer weather and when I had a few more hours on the motor.

I need info on 3 pt hitch rotary tillers before I buy. Owner comments and experiences would be much appriciated. I have a JD 4200 (20 HP PTO) and will be tilling about 20 gardens a year.<br>I'm thinking of purchasing a Value Built (Befco) 58
