I didn't dig deeply enough at kubotaengine.com...

A link took me to a graph of hp and torque vs. rpm.

Hp increases essentially linearly between 1400 and 2800 rpm.

But torque is quite flat between those two rpm. It's highest at about 1800 rpm, but by only a wee bit.

2300 rpm still seems about right for heavy work, but lower rpms should be fine much of the time. --Mike

I just purchased a used L2600; I know nothing about tractors beyond what I've read yesterday in the owner's manual. <br>

The tractor has 65 hrs TT; it's been run only infrequently since new three years ago when its owner died. Seems to be in great shape. We'll see. Anyway:<br>

1) Can this particular tractor be fitted with a front-end loader?<br>
<br>
2) Can it be retrofitted to 4WD (cost-effectively)?<br>
<br>
3) Is there anything special about Kubota brand hydraulic fluid, or is any quality "tractor" hyd. fluid usable?<br>
<br>
4) Ditto the oil filter. (The manual says use only a Kubota filter. The nearest Kubota dlr is some distance away.)<br>

5) Is there a good online source of tractor-related stuff?<br>
