Connect the tractor to a PTO driven implement such as a bushog. Block the clutch pedal down. Quickly engage the PTO with the engine running at a slow speed. Many times the clutch will brake loose as soon as the PTO gears engage.

It is my understanding that the 4100 is still made in Japan by Yanmar. The other 4000 series in question are assembled in the USA with Yanmar engines and Yanmar produced transmissions and drive axles (probally made in US factory mentioned above).

TISCO, which is probally the largest supplier of aftermarket ag parts and supplies, has these toplinks available. They have the toplinks by themselves or in a kit with valve, fittings and hoses. Kits are available for Kubota tractors which will work on many compacts. Check with your local equipment dealer to see if they deal with TISCO and ask to see their catalog.

I have never heard of a TS1700 Iseki. The TU1700 Iseki was built from 1981 thru 1984. The TU1700 is a three cylinder tractor. My product guide starts with model year 1975 and does not list the TS1700. It must be pre 1975.

Have you actually checked the coolant temperature to make sure that the sender is not bad? Most of the Yanmar temperature senders are set to turn the light on at 110 degrees Celsius. The Yanmar service manuals state that the light will come on at 230 degrees F. You need to check to make sure that you do not have a bad sender which is the most common problem we see.

It has been rumored that Kubota bought out Hinomoto a year or so ago. Might try contacting Kubota and see if this rumor is true.

For running your rotary cutter you should not need the extra weight of the fluid in the tires. This weight would be useful for loader work or heavy ground engaging work such as plowing. Carrying this extra weight, will over a period of time, cause addition wear on the tractor drivetrain. The solution in the tires is calcium based to prevent freezing and caustic to the rims of your tires. Removal of this fluid by an experienced tire shop will also extend the life of your tires and rims.
