I just bought this JD 4700 and I love it so far. The only thing I have a hard time with is where the joy stick for the FEL is positioned. It sets right by my leg and if my leg and if my legs leans to the outside much, it tends to push the joystick and moves the bucket towards the emptying position.
Can this be moved over any? Is the normal position for these tractors?
Thanks for any help here.

Mike1819: I had a 4300 before I got the 4310. The joystick on the ten series is shaped different and in a more natural position. Perhaps a ten series lever would fit your 4700 and be more comfortable. Check with a Deere dealer, I'll bet they'll interchange. Enjoy your day. Frank. ....

Mike, I had the JD tech's do a cold bend in the joy stick before I took delivery. Maybe you could do the same, It put it out just enough I don't hit it.

Thanks, I did talk with the JD dealer who sold me the tractor and he said he would check into some options for me. He said few others had mentioned the same complaint but didn't remember if JD had done a PIP on it or not.
If no other options, I 'll ask him about cold bending it. ....
