I am looking at a JD4400 4wd Hydro R4 tires with 430Loader,dual select control valve, 48Backhoe, 12"bucket,Power beyond, 60" mid mower, 3rd select control valve, Folding rops. I have gotten a price of 29,500 from local dealer. This seems hi. Has anyone priced anything similar?

Hi Dave; Doesn't look like anyone else is going to respond so I will. I haven't bought a new 4400 yet but I have been doing some talking with the dealer. Without any real serious dickering I have him at 17,500 for a 4400 hst, 4wd, R-4's folding rops, mid-pto and DSCV . They also gave me a price of 2900 for the 430 loader w/60" bucket. I can't help you with the Backhoe or mid-mount mower. I haven't priced those out yet.Hope this helpsDavid ....

Dave, Grab the deal ! I just got a 4400, R4, HST, DSCV, mid pto, 430 loader and 47 hoe with 20" extra bucket (9' comes standard) price before tax $28,095.You have a larger hoe AND a belly mower (about another $2100-2500 for mower).I told the dealer he should include the belly mower, then the price would be about right ! ....

I've been researching price on 4400HST w/430 loader and 48 backhoe and R4 tires for the past month or so with three different dealers. The initial quotes have been between 27k and 30k for this set-up. One dealer (came in w/ highest quote) won't move much on price so they're out of the running. A fair price in my opinion would be 20-21k for the tractor and loader, and about $6500-$7000 for the backhoe. I too would appriciate price info. Dave, your price seems to be within this range since your getting the mower. I'd be suprised if you could get them to knock off a significant amount of money from the quote they gave you. However, if you do please let us all know. Thanks ....

29,600 for a 4600 w/PowerReverser, 460 loader w/HD 73 inch bucket, 48 backhoe with 18 inch bucket, R4, folding ROPs and delivered two days after ordering.One heck of a tractor and the PowerReverser is fantastic. ....

I just traded a 855 MFWD/72"mid mower/70A loader for a 4400 HST/72"mid mower/430 w/61"HD bucket & BLI/DSCV/folding ROPS/worklight/turf tires. The highest price I found for the 4400 (as outfitted) was $28500 and the lowest was $23250. The worst trade-in for my 855 was $10500 (from guess who) and the best was $17250. In between were a lot of dealers looking to get rich (IMHO) at my expense. In addition, I got my 4400 in 4 weeks from the date I signed the PO. Needless to say, this dealer is my first stop for any future business I have and he is numero uno on my list of references to other folks. ....
