Alright guys, here's the problem. I'm upgrading my 4200 to either a 4400 or a 4600. I really would prefer the 4600 because I'm going to buy a Bodozer grapple, and could use the extra lifting capacity. The question is, can the 4600 take the 59" front snowblower?
The JD home page doesn't show it as an option for the 4610. Was it available for the 4600, and if not, why? Too much HP? No mounting brackets?
I'm willing to do modifications if I have to, but would love some expert input. By the way, a rear PTO snowblower is not an option (long 10-15% grade)

That is a very interesting question. JD says it will not fit. I've wondered why they haven't made the brackets.
Their first concern is probably wheel width.
2nd probably is why build brackets if the wheels are wider than the blower.
I would suspect you could build or have built the custom brackets.
Now as a side note I do 2 drives for neighbors with a 3ph blower and both are all of 10-15% grades with no problems. 1 of them is over a half mile long. ....

Harvey, I appreciate the input. I may end up sticking with the 4400. I would love the extra lifting capacity of the 460 loader, but you can't have everything. How do you like your 4400. Any issues I should look for? Right now I'm looking at a 4400, 240hrs, 430 loader, 3rd SCV, Mid PTO for $17,500. By the way, looks like you have a great piece of property.
