I've purchased a late model 231 and I'm sort of interested in how much I could get a Frount End loader or Back Hoe for.

If some one has a used one for sale or know how much a used one should cost let me know....

Thanks in advance.

There'll likely be some replies that give some price into. That's something I don't know much about.

What I wanted to say is that loaders and back-hoes go together so it's not necessarily a choice between one or the other. There are some safely issues. I've heard of dealers who won't sell a backhoe for a tractor that doesn't have a loader. ....

Well around here. I see a lot of frount end loaders with
Box Blades on the back.

That's sort of what I have in mind ...

But Thanks for the response.

I think used loaders are pretty rare. Once they're on a tractor they tend to stay, and the frames tend to be fairly specific to a tractor. My loader is an Allied 195 for my 24hp Ford. I think Allied's are moderate-cost medium-duty loaders. The hydraulics are after-market components.

Loader and box scraper tend to be very common configurations. My box is almost always on in the summer since that's the easiest way for me to get enough ballast for loader work. I use the scraper quite a bit anyway and I don't mow. Anyway, you probably don't want a back-hoe without a loader and the two together would be expensive. ....
