I looked at this site in selecting a tractor and know how helpful it is for those looking to purchase. Several months ago I purchased the TC25D. I paid $16,500 with frontloader. I have 40 hours of very hard use on it now and have had no problems. It seems to be a well-designed, well-made tractor. I have not had any smoking problem. It runs very smoothly. At this point, I am very glad that I made the purchase.

I bought a TC29 last week and will take delivery in 3 or 4 weeks. My dealer says they've changed some things such as adding live PTO.Question...I am a retired farmer and I'm wondering what this tractor can do.For instance, will it pull a load of hay or corn? Can you move big round bales with it using the 3 pt hitch bale carrierHow is is at moving snow with a rear blade? Will it start in the winter time? You may wonder why I didn't get these questions answered before I bought it but I need a compact tractor around the place for yard and garden work too.Take careLarry ....

I can partially answer one of your questions - I don't know how heavy a load of hay or corn is, but I have a similar size tractor (JD4300) and routinely pull a load of 5500lbs (in a tandem trailer) without even noticing it is there. My manula says that I can pull up to 4 times the tractor weight , or about 10000 lbs. ....

I think you will be surprised with how much these compact tractors will do. I sure was. I have used my TC25D to pull logs and trees in rough area and to grade a road. The pulling power with FWD is truly amazing. The front end loader works smoothly and has the strength to handle large logs. I think you will be very pleased. ....

Thanks for the reply. A load of 120 bales of hay would weigh roughly 6000 plus the weight of the wagon. The dealer called this morning and my new tractor is in but they have to put industrial tires on it before delivering. It'll be another 2 or 3 days.ThanksLarry ....
