I noticed an old post that was about a hydraulic Toplink? Does a hydraulic toplink work to keep your 3 point hitch from coming up like when using a blade so that you can keep pressure on the blade? I don't want to sound stupid but I never saw one before. Any help is appreciated.

No, virtually all 3ph's on compacts float upward--draft control hitches will power themselves up. The weight of an implement is the only thing that holds it down, and it's the design of an implement that takes it into the ground. A lot of things would get broken if 3ph's didn't float.
If you have a blade and it's not cutting, the blade may not be heavy enough to cut your soil. Adjusting the attack angle of the blade may help but putting some weight on top of the blade would make it cut better. Adding weight does increase the stress on the top-link mount, which may not be very strong to start with in an inexpensive blade.
A hydraulic top-link just changes the leveling of an implement, which also controls the attack angle of the cutters on blades and box-scrapers. Especially for box scrapers, the attack angle is critical to how a box performs and very frequent top-link adjustments make the work go much faster and with better results.

Tom described it's uses very well. But put very simply, it replaces the standard top link so that you can adjust it from the seat with a control valve. ....

On a related subject...the old Ford 8Ns and 600s had it all over the newer machines in the area of leveling box adjustment. One could easily adjust the leveling box from the seat.
The top link adjustment usually required getting off the machine. To me - I see little need for remote hydraulic top link adjustment but it still is nice.
On a 3 pt. hitch note - the old Fords are easier with implement connection - even with the quick connect adapters that come on the NH TC deluxe models (or optional).
I have had old and new Ford /New Hollands so I know several things related to this subject:
1) the old tractors have a wider lower arm separation - easing installation of the attachment
2) they had a higher lift capacity
3) they had a higher lift height
4) a more robust leveling box
5) implement was connected further back - allowing things such as rotating a rear blade without disconnecting it
6) better grade of 3 pt. bolts/nuts - with finer threads
and there is more.... no time now
I like my Boomer but there are several things that I did not know when I bought it - this is just some of those things. ....
