I recently bought a 4wd as listed above, but have been unable to figure out how to get it into front wheel dr.or verify the front wheel drive is in gear.I ordered and recieved an operators manual, but it is a universal manual, and doesn't detail the answer for this specific model.
Can anyone give me some tips on this? I have it working on the bushhog, and it seems to be running good.

Roy

With my Ford, The 4wd lever is on the right-side rear of the TX top-plate (the PTO is on the left). I fully depress the clutch and ease the lever upward. If there is a bit of grinding I 'tickle' the clutch to change the sliding gear alignments and lower the engine rpm. If there's significant persistent grinding, I look at the clutch adjustment for excessive pedal free-travel.

When my 4wd linkage broke, I definitely verified that the 4wd didn't work by putting the loader bucket against a tree and then let out the clutch a low rpm. One and only one front wheel should spin.
