It was a pretty good Christmas, and I hope everybody else's day was a good one as well. Looks like the eastern storm is going mostly south of here so we don't even have snow to content with. I was prepared though. I'm sure I ate enough so the tractor will have better traction for a day or so.

The only slight mar on the day was 14 pike lures intended as a gift for my brother-in-law that left Orillia, Ontario Friday afternoon didn't arrive in time. Orillia is pronounced 'Oh Reel Ya' for purposes of the lures.

My brother-in-law got the article I found about the lures for Christmas rather then the lures themselves. Actually six of the lures are for me. Generosity has its limits even at Christmas. Small problem you might say 'cause it's winter now, but the season here is open most of the year. The river's still open and there was a thought that we could go from dinner to the River. I might even have had better luck with the pike than the courier.

I think the article is pretty good so I post the link below. It's not everyday you can give a gift and share it with everybody else as well. Still I'd have rather had the lures themselves.

Orillia has lovely golf courses now
I would rather be golfing than plowing
