New to this board and a 4310. Was wondering if Deer offers extended warranty on the 4000 series? If so I was wondering if anyone does this and what the rates might be?

I had two minor issues so far. The cruise would not set all the time or would turn off on it's own. Seems if I hooked my foot under the brake pedals it would set. They came out and adjusted the brake switch and it has been fine. They said they did some factory change to the tilt wheel as well.

I had an issue with the cruise till I adjusted to it. I would come to the end of a mowing path and touched the brake to unset the cruise. The rear wheels would slide and tear the turf. I set the MotionMatch for a longer coast to stop. Didn't help. I found out if I put my foot back on the hydo forward and depressed it a bit while I tapped the brake I could take control back and ease to a stop without ripping turf. Once I turned around I could then tap the resume and head the other way.

Deere does offer an extended warranty on the 4000 series tractors. Its called PowerGard Protection Plan. You can get the rates online by way of the JD website. Just build and price your tractor and at the bottom is the extended warranty.

It does say in the Operator's Manual to push the hydro pedal down before you disengage the cruise. If you have noticed (and I'm sure you have) the hydro will stop you better than the brakes.

Took my 4310 into the local JD dealer for a little warranty
work the other day, heres what I had done...fuel gauge sender was seeping a little, they replaced with a updated
style. The fan blade rubbed the shroud at one time, they replaced both the shroud&fan blade.I told them the rocker
arms seemed noisy after hours of running, they adjusted all
valve lash.Dash fogged over when warm, they replaced dash
glass. All covered under warranty,2 days later I picked it
up it was washed and detailed.I wonder if the service would
have been this good if I had bought the tractor from them?
I also asked them about the ehydro controllers, they said
"ya we changed one but it was just the pedal sensor out
of adjustment".Just thought I would throw this in since you
guys were talking about warranty....dh ....
