I just ordered my B2910 & FEL today and will be in need of a backhoe for future projects. I noticed Kubota offers two models and I was wondering if there are any 3rd party backhoes that someone could recommend? Can I realize and savings by going 3rd party? I will be using to clean up my pond, dig out stumps etc..

After-market hoes are available. Woods is a name commonly heard, and Bradco to a lesser extent. I have a Kelley, which are moderate priced hoes. There are other names, and mane would cost less than a factory model.
However, sub-frame mount hoes may not be available for some tractors from all after-market manufacturers. It would be good to read the archives about sub-frame and 3ph mounts and possible damage to tractors. There also is some discussion about some warrantee problems resulting from damage to tractors from after-market hoes.

I run a 2710 with a woods 7500 subframe mount. This is a great combination. This hoe has more breakout force and faster cycle times than the comparable Kubota Hoe.
Same price, same color. ....
