Here's one for you. I was stripping out topsoil where I'm building a new barn with my 33D and loader. I have 76 hours on it.Today was my second day of working the tractor for 6 hour stretches. All of a sudden it just died. Fuel gauge said 1/2 a tank. I cranked it over several times and nothing.I opened up the hood to look for anything obvious and just by chance twisted the fuel cap to loosen it . Woosh the tank had a major vacuum in it and had been sucked completely dry. Now the fuel gauge showed the truth it was empty. I played around with the cap for a while and could not get it to allow air to enter the tank. It just worked the other way.It would let air out but not in. I filled the tank and bled the injector block and it started right up. I drilled a new hole in the cap until I can get a new one. Has anyone else had this happen to them?Tim-Maine

I've had slight fuel leakage from the gas cap on my TC40 when traveling over bumpy terrain. I guess I have to much venting. This gas cap is a replacement for the original which I lost along with a few gallons of fuel before I noticed. The original did not leak at all. The replacement cost $38 which I wasn't to happy about. ....

Tim and Steve, I haven't had any problem with my fuel cap (TC40D), but rather just wanted to note that the TC33 and TC40 are not set up the same as far as their fuel tanks. The TC33 is one of the mid-size Boomers and has its fuel tank under the hood. The TC40 is one of the large class of Boomers and has its tank mounted behind the operator's seat. I'm not sure, but I think the tanks/caps are of differing configurations. Don't know if that helps any or not. And at $38 a cap, I'm darn sure going to keep a close eye on mine! ....
