A dealer quoted me a price today on a new NH 1720 with tractor tires. $11,500. Could use a little input as to the going rate for these tractors across the nation. (I'm in Mississippi) He also has a slightly used front end loader (dealer demo) for $2,500.I have only driven two tractors in my life, Ford 8N and a Ford 4000, and this is my first new purchase so I would appreciate any info. I will mostly be bush hogging, some light earth moving and grading and also some dragging of timber which fell victim to an ice storm this past winter.I looked at the Kubotas but they are not built for big guys like me. I almost tripped over the shift levers just getting in and out of the thing. The 1720 is easy to climb in and out of. And it is still small enough for my wife, 5'3", to operate. The test drive went well though I found the gear shifting a little difficult at times. I assume this would become second nature eventually.Any comments from anyone would be appreciated.Jeff Cochran

jeff: I was quoted $12,475 for tractor w/12/4 trans or $13,725 w/sss trans, and ag or R4 tires. 7108 loaders seem to list for around $3,250, so it sounds like your're getting a good price ....
