My Massey Ferguson MF 240 is now more than 3 and a half years old and it has been running for more than 5000 hours with only minor giltches. It came with useless brakes, new ones still do I had to pay extra money to the dealer to fix it. It also came with too hard seat, that problem has been fixed in both new ones and in mine too but not for free.

How many acres do you plant? Is this how you make a living or is it a second job? What do you plant? With a MF 240 I dont think it would be rice, I see that wheat and sugercane are major crops of Pakistan. Most small farms around me that have MF240 tractors are truck farms. sending their crops to the markets in the local citys and grocerys. They might only plant 4 acres of each crop tomato, potato, corn, turnips, pumpkins. The folks in the city will pay more than locals will for the same thing. I am just curious ....

I work with my father at my father's farm. We have about 400 acres of land. About 300 acres are cultivated, rest are under reclamation. Infact these shall be cultivated for first time ever. The problem with our lands is high salinity.
For almost all of these 3 years MF 240 has been used in 60 of these 100 acres for land leveling with rear blade. And it had only 2 implements one rear blade and a 9 tine cultivator. Now it has a rotavatoras well.
more some time later. ....

In the Punjab province there are many small farms that use Massey 240 very similarly but not here in Sindh. MF 240 was popularized here by Afghan refugees here. There are hundreds of Afghans plying MF 240 here on the roads of Hyderabad.

Nuke, Keep your head down in the madness that has fallen upon us all. If I had to leave my home I would take my tractor also. When sanity returns farming will have to start quickly when weather is ready. We are told winter is starting shortly so not much could be raised now. good luck and may ALLAH watch over you. ....

Thanks for the link, Nuclear Weapon. Interesting reading, and I feel sure that I'm not the only one on the forum who knows VERY little about your country. And I, too, wish you well and hope you are not negatively affected by current events. ....
