On several instances when turning my tractor full left I have noticed the wheel sticking. I finally figured out what was going on. When the front wheels are in the full left position the lugs on my r4 tires actually get hung up in the loader brace that runs the length of the tractor. When turning right the other wheel doesn't get hung up. Anyone else had this happen with thier tractor? Anyone know if this is just an adjustment problem? I haven't had time to look at it real close yet.

I also forgot to mention that I noticed a small grinding/wear mark on my connecting rod for the steering. It doesn't appear that anything could hit this, but something has been grinding on it. The spot is about 3/8" wide and 1/8" deep. ....

I'm not familar with your NH front end, but on JD, they have a "stop bolt" adjustment on each side for clearance purposes. This is one reason it's not recommended to put chains on the front tires. Your owner's manual should show you the adjustment procedure...normally 1 - 2 " clearance... and don't forget the whole front axle pivots as well... ....

MarkS,
I have a TC40D with Super Steer and the 17LA loader and have not had this problem. Sounds like something may not adjusted correctly.

I do not have the SS option. It is just a standard TC40D with a 16LA loader. I breifly looked at the front end this weekend and saw no "stops" or "adjustment" options that could fix the problem. I have noticed that the problem only occurs when the loader is installed. During my daily use without the loader the interference never occurs. I'm puzzled. Maybe its time for a dealer visit. ....
