I don't have the problem because I have a 3ph blower. I use both the blower and FEL for snow removal and I wouldn't want to swap back and forth. Besides, I don't have a mid-pto, and conversion kits are expensive. There are many discussions about the merits of front and 3ph blowers in the archives. Many people who have front blowers also have very long drives. I don't think I'd want to clear a 1/2 mile by 14' drive driving backwards, but I don't mind the 500' or so I do. One advantage of a front blower is that faster ground speeds can be used for light snows. Driving in reverse at higher speeds isn't great. ....

I am purchasing a 2410 with FEL and rear finishing mower. Should be delivered this coming week. Later this fall I plan to purchase the front mounted snowblower. My driveway is 1500' and this past winter we had so much snow the snow plow could not get down it at all. It was too high on the sides so I cranked up my walk behind snowblower (28" cut) and cleared it out so it was passable. My dealer has not said how difficult it is to change between FEL and snowblower but I will ask him this week. BTW, I do not plan to change during the winter. My neighbor also has a 2410 and we have agreed that he can use my tractor with the snowblower and I can use his with the FEL. That will keep me from having to change it back and forth on my tractor. ....

I do about 3 hours of snow blowing every time it snows, a private road and 7 houses. I use a rear mounted blower, they are much less expensive and the work isn't that bad. Use the money you save to buy another implement. ....
