I have found a deal on new 1070 and 870 tractors. The 1070 has 2 wd and ag tires for $14700. The 870 has turf tires, 2wd and is $11300. The dealer says that these prices are his cost. But I am not sure if this is a great deal.Also, just for comparison sake he has a new 4400 with syncshift and all hydraulic hookups for $15300.It was my opinion the 1070 was the best deal for the hp. Any comments will be appreciated.

Buying the tractor by $/per hp depends alot on what you want to do with the machine. one had turfs, one had ags, and how was the 4400 set up? was it 4x4, turfs, ags, r-4? also, 1070 & 870 are non-current models, & most dealers are dumping the price to sell the off. ....

I've heard of much better prices than these. And for tractors set up with more options, too.Look around....call around. ....

Up here in the northeast 2wd compacts have terrible resale. Doesnt sound like any kind of deal to me Jim ....
