I don't know about 100 miles, but ther is someone selling yanmars in cherokee pass just south of fredericktown on hwy 67. Also ther is crafton equipment in van buren, they also have a web site. But be careful I am having problems getting parts. ....

do you mean Yanmar parts in general or do you
mean getting parts from Craftons?

Roger I,m having trouble with yanmar in general. Craftons sent me to the Maynard Equipment in Alabama. Where they get their parts and info. But apparently there aren't many people who have been into these grey market tractors enough to identify model changes and updates. Or if the particular tractor you have just doesn't show up with the same parts that are in their parts book you just don't want to box up your only part and send it to them so they can compare. ....

I'll tell you who I get my Yanmar parts from at the end of this rant....So just skip down there when you get the urge.
I know that most grey-market Yanmar parts are available....it just takes a dealer who gets enjoyment form working out the parts trail. Such a person would be about half tractor hobbyist and half mystery buff, as well as a pretty darn good mechanic. He would have to have been around long enough to accumulate a good library of parts books and information. And since I can't imagine that there is much money in grey-market tractors, he probably makes his living doing something else. Or maybe retired from something else.
On the owner's end, someone who owns a grey market tractor is going to be a lot happier person if he enjoys doing his own maintenance, orders parts that he might need well in advance, and generally doesn't mind waiting for special parts.
Not all Yanmars are grey market. If - like me - you just like Yanmars for their over-all quality then you could buy one of the US Yanmars from the 1970s or 80s. Parts for those are readily available from Yanmar USA in this country.
There is also a good US Yanmar dealer in Denver - Dan at Colorado General Equipment. He stocks parts for the US Yanmars only and his service department does work on US Yanmars. As far as I know he doesn't do have parts or do any work on the greys market machines. He is a friend, and I pick up big parts from him sometimes when I stop by to chat. I just got a full set of turf tires and wheels from him and have my eye on a LandPride six foot back blade...
I promised to say where I mail order parts: I order my Yanmar parts by email from Len Sheaffer. sheaftractor@coiinc.com. I don't have any connection with his business, and he doesn't give me any special deals or discounts. Just parts. I've been ordering from him for a couple of years now. ....
