I THOUGHT I WOULD ASK AGAIN IF ANYONE NEW ANYTHING ABOUT THESE RELATIVELY NEW TRACTORS. THE 280 IS 28 ENGINE 26 PTO HP IS THIS ADEQUATE FOR 5' ROTARY CUTTER WITHOUT UNDUE WEAR ON THE MACHINE (TRACTOR ALSO OFFERED IN A 36ENG/33PTO HP MODEL) I AM CLOSE TO PURCHASING ONE OF THESE TRACTORS, BUT I AM DISTURBED BY LACK OF AVAILABLE INFO WWW.LONGAGRI.COM IS NOT TO DESCRIPTIVE . ANY OTHER SOURCES? THANKS

Sorry, I don't know anything about Long tractors but a tractor with 26pto hp should be able to run any 5' mower with no problems at all, even in heavy grass. The key is to run the tractor in a gear that keeps the engine at the rated pto rpm, and at a land speed fast enough so that you can get the job done in a reasonable time. PS- AND STOP SHOUTING, TAKE THE CAP KEY OFF!!! ....

Todd, There is a guy right in my town that sells long tractors. f you need some price comparisons let me know. They look like a well built machine .As a matter of fact one of my best friends father just bought I think a 2630.There is also another line of long tractors I think something farm tecc. Dave. ....

These Long compacts are being made in Korea. They have Mitsubishi engines in them. They are the same as the "Branson" being imported by J-Bar.Very nice fit & finish. I saw both @ Louisville F.S. ....
