I am thinking about buying a L3000DT with a loader. The LB400 and LA450seem to have almost the same specs, only one is more expensive andone is less and classed as light duty. Does anyone know the differencebettween these two and what the LA450 can do that the LB400 cant?

Phil, I think you'll find that the Kubota loader numbers (after the letters "LA") indicate the number of kilograms it's supposed to be able to lift to full height. So an LA450 should pick up 50 kg. more than an LA400. ....

Phil

I was told when I purchased my L3000 the LA 450 S2 loader has a stronger subframe. The dealer that I bought through was out of the LB 400 loader. They said the LA would be better if I ever wanted a backhoe, because no special brackets would be needed. The dealer gave the same price as quoted with the LB 400. Hope this helps. ....
