I'm looking at purchasing a 4100 Deere. In the winter I will be using it for snow removal. In the summer to skid trees and mow lawn. What are you folks experience with the A4 tires mowing the lawn? Do they perform pretty well or tear the lawn? Can crank the wheel fully and not do any damage? Thanks for you help.

I've got R4s on my 755 (virtually the same size as a 4100) and mow my "lawn" (75% fescue, 25% ?) with a belly mower. So far I've not noticed any problems. No ripping or shoving. I've cut dry and wet. I have read lots of advice on this board though that mentions the possiblity of packing your sod. I haven't been using my tractor enough yet to determine if that's a problem. I also mow the rest of my 3 acres which is hilly and love the R4s. ....
