Is the highend 4000 compact as good as the 5000 tractor? I have three irrigated acres in phoenix area. I need a tractor that can work the riding arena, work berms, disk the 1.5 acre pasture, rip the pasture, move dirt, ... etc. I currently have a grey-market Yanmar 2700 that is supposed to be 30 hp (not!). It is small and works good doing small jobs, but can't hardly rip or disk the pasture or arena. That is why I am looking at the 5000 series. I am also concerned that the 4000 series tractors are not built as strong and sturdy as the 5000 series tractors. Any information would be appreciated.

I beleive the 4500-4700 are beefy units from my point of veiw, But the 5105 does weigh about 900 lbs more and has 490 lbs more lifting capacity, Its also a category 2 three point hitch. So yes a bigger brute but does require cat 2 implements( MORE MONEY )

JIM ....
