I have an older L245-DT, I am installing a front pump kit. I am wondering what needs to be done to the old hyd hook up on the trans. Does it need to be bypassesed or can the connections be plugged?

I don't know the tractor and understand the front pump installation. Maybe I've got nothing useful to say and should just be quite. However, if the existing pump remains on the tractor, and it's an open centred system, than a line has to be provided to return the high-pressure flow back to the reservoir. I imagine that a hydraulic pump depends on hydraulic oil for lubrication, and simply disconnecting and plugging the suction and high-pressure lines wouldn't work. ....
