I purchased a John Deere 4300(MFG 7/17/00) about 3 weeks ago. The prices are: Model 4300 with ROPS, HST, DSC, 3'rd SVC, 4WD, R4 Tires,--$15,565. a 430 Loader with Long's 4-n-1 66" Bucket(electric sel valve), level indicator--$4300. Bucket toothbar--$260. Bush Hog 70-06 blade with cylinder--$816. Bush Hog Bx-650 box blade---$525. Freedom Hitch (3 pcs)---$$643. Is this good??? J/////john

I got a price quote yesterday as follows..
4300 Hydro 4x4, R-4 tires, Mid PTO, Tall ROPS, DSCV 15,450.00
430 JD Loader with 61" Heavy Duty Bucket 2,925.00
60" JD Mid mount Mower 2,089.00
3rd SCV 220.00
Block Heater 50.00
sub Total =20,734.00
tax @6%= 1,244.04
Grand Total= 21,978.04
Tell me what you think????
Iam probably gonna take the dive come monday.
The only one that will be upset it the Old 2010 row crop utility that won't be getting all the attention anymore... ....

I bought my 4300 here in Canada just before Xmas. With HST, 4X4, R4, DSCV, folding ROPS and mid PTO it came to $13815 US, when converting the Canadian price @ 1.5. ....

Where abouts in Canada did you Purchase your Tractor?
Hmm ,so how many you willing to import to the States? :) Surely we could
work this out under the NAFTA treaty......
I wonder how much they would nail you for a Duty to bring one in? Do you by chance know? ....

My location is just across the river from Detroit. You would have to call the US Customs for information on importation of the tractor into the States. A friend of mine is a motorcycle dealer who sells alot of bikes to US residents. They can save $750 - $2000 depending on the particular bike bought, even after they pay US duty and taxes when re-entering the US.
I'm not sure now you would do with service when you're local dealer finds out where you got the tractor?

Jeff Golden, I am also Canadian near Toronto and the deal you made sounds great to me as I am about to decide on a JD 4300 or a L3010 Kubota. I would like to know where you got that price from. Thanks ....
