Dana, I checked the literature that I have on the JD-950 to no avail. As a general guide the 970&1070 (successor to the 950&1050) list the lift capacity at 2020 lbs. I would imagine the 950 is somewhere in the vicinity of this figure. Hope this info. helps. Regards Mark ....

Dana, I used to own a 950, traded it for my 1070, anyway, the lift capacity is listed at 1480 lbs. at 24 in. behind lift point. Hope this helps. ....

Thanks for the repleys. I guess my 855 will not pick up a seeder, I'll have to wait till I get into a new tractor.
