Somebody asked an oil filter application question for this E14D unit and here is just a tip. A tractor store in Apple Valley, Calif wanted like 30 bucks for a dinky little oil filter. I am a bit too cheap to pay that so I took rubber sealing ring measurement on top filter, went to Pep Boys and asked to see a filter for and older Datsun pickup - just shooting in the dark. I had to look at a couple or so with a match-up measurement and same thread hole, spent about 4 bucks for a filter and wrote the number down. These tractor stores are gold mines if they convince you they are the only place you can go. Do not have that number right handy, sorry, but it is an easy way out.

Interesting point you are probably not far off. But there is probably some basis of flow rate and pressure that varies from one to the next to make one a perfect match. I would make sure it was at least as big as the one that is meant for it besides the obvious thread size.

Best of luck ! ....
