Hello everyone, late last year I purchased Bela because I needed a tractor, I thought it looked cool and I could afford it at the time. GRIN
I started using it this year to pull some trees to clear an area for some sunflowers for the MRS and another area for my veggie garden.
Then I started using the bush hog.to clean up a little over growth in an older field.
That is when I noticed the clutch might be slipping.
CLUTCH QUESTION:
Is there a way to adjust the clutch plate/disc it self or just the long procedure for how to properly adjust the clutch pedal only?
IF there is more than just the pedal adjustment - What and How?
PTO QUESTION:
The PTO lever seems to have 3 settings.
Locked - Neutral - On
NOTE: There is a knob in the cab - under the seat, on top ot the trans, with a rod heading to the back. It is broke at some lever above the PTO output.
I have NO CLUE - what it is? (I cannot find a reference to it either.)
FYI - With the PTO Lever locked or on and transmission in gear - but NOT running - I am not able to turn the PTO.
While in Neutral - Transmission in gear but NOT running - I can turn the PTO.
QUESTION:
Why does the PTO still turn when the lever is in Neutral while I am using the tractor for other things?
Is it BAD to leave the lever LOCKED so the PTO does not turn while using the tractor?
Will this DAMAGE things - if left LOCKED for a long time?
Am I missing something or could that broken rod be part of the PTO system?
Thank you,
Tony (Ontario Canada)

Thank you. I found that site shortly after I knew I was going to be buying this tractor.
However, I've noticed with the manuals being translated, along with the quality and amount of pictures it is hard to find some detailed descriptions needed on how things work, what they are, or how to fix them. While other things are better - it still is not what I'm use to seeing in manuals as a retire mechanic.
The one picture I found of all the controls inside the cab is too grainy and I can't make out all the controls I have a concern with. Like the knob with the broken rod above the PTO on the back of the tractor.
One funny thing I recall is it says to use oil (in the engine) however, so far I have not found what type. GRIN
But I'll go back and look again.

add some photos so we can see what you have questions on. I have a 611 which may be close. engine oil should be 15w40. for the hydraulic they say 30 weight but I just use hydraulic oil in all mine and have not had any problems. no problems cross using other implements using hydraulics that way.
the pto will not turn by hand when engaged with the engine off and I would assume when locked as well. it should turn when disengaged. the reason it will rotate when running, not engaged, is that the transmission oil can make it rotate. ....

Thank you.
Can I attach pictures in a post and if so how? (This forum is different than what I'm use to.)
I never thought about the friction of the oil. Btu then again I have no clue how this tractor works. GRIN
I'm happy to know that it's caused by the oil flow. But I'm a little concerned as it is still strong enough to rotate the bush hog blades.
Should the PTO lock position ONLY be used for a short time and when one need to attach or disconnect the PTO shaft while the tractor is running?
I'll go load my pictures and highlight the areas in question.

The first picture shows the controls inside the cab that I don't know what they are for.
The second picture shows the rod(#1) that is broken off, The lever(#2) that I'm guessing the rod should be attached to and some other object(#3) that I don't know what it is.

Is #1 in first pic #21 in mine?
Is #2 #27 in mine?
#21 is for draft control, you will want it pushed to the left most of the time, right when plowing
#22 forward the brake is on, would not use it there unless the pto really needs to come to a sudden stop. mostly use center to disengage and rear to engage.
#23 should be turned clockwise to independent pto, engine drives pto. you do not want it in the counter-clockwise ground driven position. no real use for that unless maybe use use a old sickle mower.
the pto should not be strong enough to turn the mower when disengaged
all my tractors have a different set up then this one, maybe someone else will chime in.
you second picture may be of the draft control. could you take it from further back? it is in the rear?
I would also recommend cleaning the whole machine with a pressure washer. I do this to any new to me machine, helps to find leaks and other problems ....
