Problems with MF 135 independent pto operation

The tractor: 1967 MF 135 DeluxeThe problem: The ipto won't disengage.This has happened after replacing the ipto valves w/remotes with a valve body with no remotes. Anybody know where to start on this one? The ipto is supposed to be engaged/disengaged with a lever on the left side of the rear case; it won't disengage. Please respond or e-mail me if you have any clues.Bill Mullens
