I am looking for a 3 pt finish mower to go on my John Deere 4wd 950. I have been looking around. I am looking at the 7 foot rear discharge Woods, the 7 foot rear discharge Landpride. I have ran across a seller of an Italian Mower by the name of Caroni. Can anyone tell me about the reliability and the performance of any of these mowers. I have heard the rear discharge land pride is having lower bearing problems and the company is working on a fix. The Caroni Saleman says they are as good or better than a Woods ???? Anyone who has used a Woods and a Caroni who could tell me how the Caroni performs ????? There seems to be about a 25 % price difference on the same size of Caroni as compared to the Woods. Thanks for the Help !!!!

I just bought a used 72" side discharge caroni finish mower. I have used it twice to mow about 5 acres, so far so good. It seems to be well made and it mows fine. I don't think it is a bad way to go at all. Parts for these mowers are readily availble from what I can tell, I am totally satisfied. I also have a caroni roto-tiller and no complaints there either.
Good luck ....

I have a 2572 rear discharge landpride mower and have had no problems with it. I mow about 8 acres evety other week. This model weighs about 700lbs. which is pretty heavy for some small tractors. Landpride dose make lighter mowers in the 72 inch class. ....
