i just purchased a nh 2110 but no operator manual was given with tractor , i need to know what oil and fuel filter number to use as well as any brand of filter recomendations and weight of oil as well as oil grade needed. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i've always tried to stay with the manufacturers filters.there are good after market brands to also choose from like wix and baldwin.as far as oil goes i run shell rotella 15w40 in all my diesels.the local nh and jd dealers sell fleet gaurd filters but the price difference is nil to none.good luck ....

thanks, you seem sold on the shell rotlla oil, is it a good year round choice? our winters can reach -20f to -30f without windchill although our normal lows are closer to 0 f . i relly appreciate your help. ....

Rick, is that 2110 a gasoline or diesel engine? Tractortips.com shows it to be gas (I don't know where they get their information and don't know about their reliability and accuracy, but do find it an interesting and informative web site). The Shell Rotella T 15W-40 is also a popular oil down here in Texas, although I think the Chevron Delo 400 15W-40 may be even more popular and is the one I use. My brother also uses the same oil in his Caterpillar diesel powered truck here in Texas and years ago he was using it in his 18-wheelers in Alaska, so yes they can be used year round. Of course, quite a few people are going to the synthetics, if you don't mind paying more for it, and I think one of the major benefits of the synthetics is for use in extreme cold. ....

shell rotella is what I use in all my diesels,it is a very popular oil. I like it because it is any easy oil to find,walmart or sam's club both handle it.I live in wisconsin and have never had a problem with cold starting Ihave a NH 1320& a Ford diesel pick-up. I always buy NH filters it's not worth the hassles trying to cross ref. filters that are almost close.your engine is worth 5 buck more. ....

Rick. Is your 2110 a 4 cyl.? Tractor Tips shows it as a 3 cyl.and thats not the way I remember the one My friend had. Also I bet you have 28" rubber on the rear , not the 24" that they list. ....

yes my 2110 is 4cyl and i do belive it has the taller rubber on it, i also noted in tractor tips they list the engine as a gas job, not a diesel. ....
