6410 4x4 light flashing

Does anyone know if the 4x4 light flashing after you have selected the off position means the 4x4 is still engaged?

When I have the rocker switch in the on position the light stays solid but when I move switch to the off position the light keeps flashing (never stopping). There's nothing in the manual about it.
