Hello I am new to this board. I have two questions. 1. A neighbor of a friend of mine has a tractor for sale. It is a 1998 cub cadet model 7235 with four wheel drive and an 1100 lb. (cubs rating) front loader. It has turf tires and total hours are 46. He purchased too large a unit (he has a 3/4 acre lot- he used for cutting grass with a pull behind mower that he already sold). The price is $12000.00 Is this a good price? The tractor looks new - kept in garage when not in use. 2nd question. If I purchase I would like to add a backhoe to the tractor - Is the cub cadet unit a good one ? I think it is made by woods. Thanks for any info - Paul.

Here's the scoop. A 7235 is a series 7, 23hp, hydrostatic drive (5, vs a 0 for a gear trans). I have a 7265 that has been VERY good to me. A neighbor has a 7235 with loader and hoe for his plumbing contracting business, and uses it almost constantly. Very reliable. Price seems a touch high, but not too bad. Depends on market I'd guess. ....
