Heard a rumor that the B2710 with hydrostatic drive bogs down under a sustained push load such as snowblowing with a front mounted unit. Yes? No?

Ed:Are these the new 4 cylinder 27hp that are just being delivered now. Bring me up tospeed. I thought this was a new model just being intoduced and if so, it is onlyavailable in HST. Anybody know anything more about this. ....

Larry:The B2710 was due the first of the year but have not shown up in numbers yet. They should be at dealers before April 1, but in short supply. The HST is std equipment. For complete and credible information check "Kubota Tractor Source" on the WEB. I hope the report on bogging down is just a rumor because I have been waiting for them to be available so I can buy one.Ed. ....

Where did you hear the rumor??? at a John Deere Dealer???? I am not aware of anyone that actually has one other than Kubota.Next question What size of front blower???? was it a kubota blower or one thathad been "rigged" to the supposed tractor??? How deep was the puported snow that the unit bogged down in????? 1/2", 6" or 43"???? Was it a wet heavy snow or light and fluffy???Ok Last 2 questions What gear range (the 2710 has 3) and how fast was one attempting to go whileblowing smoke, OOOPS excuse me I meant snowSorry for the sarcasm but this is how mis-information gets started and spread.Tim ....

Any tractor will "bog down" if the sustained load creates more of a demand for horsepower than the tractor can provide. Most operators decrease the load to maintain RPM's and avoid overloading the engine when this occurs. It's called common sense. ....
