I'm looking for a reasonably priced new or used original electromagnetic PTO clutch or an alternative electromagnetic clutch that can be modified to work on my JD 112. I have full machine shop capabilities and can modify something reasonably close. For this 1973 machine I just can't go the $847.00 (ouch) that JD wants for what you would think should be a $400.00 (max) item. If anyone has an idea on this, the info would be much appreciated. Grass is growing, need HELP. Thanks.

My JD 112 is a pre 260,000 serial number. The JD part number for the original electromagnetic PTO clutch is: AM33826 ....

Dave. You might check with a Cub Cadet dealer. Someone on another board was quoted $204 including labor. I mention this because a relative has a JD 316 with a clutch that appears identical to my Cub 782. Just a thought. ....
