I used my TC29D to pull some cloths line posts out of the ground this weekend. They had concrete poured around the base of them 3 to 4 feet deep. I used the 3pt hitch arm and a chain to pull the first one out. Once I saw how much concrete there was and how deep it was (in clay), I was impressed! The second one wouldn't budge, however. The hydraulics didn't have enough power (I had the throttle at about 1500 RPMs). So, I hooked onto it with a tow strap and yanked on it from the top where I had some leverage and got it loosened up (the 3" dia pole bend right over in the process). Then, I pulled it straight up out of the ground with the 3pt hitch arm. This one turned out to have more concrete and was buried deeper than the first one. My question is, can the 3pt lift be damaged by doing this kind of stuff? I obviously tried to lift more than it could handle. My neighbor told me I could blow a seal if I'm not careful, but I don't see any oil leaks.

You should be OK, most tractors have a pressure relief commonly set at 2500 psi. The system would relieve, or is supposed to before you would do any damage. ....
