I am looking for the best price on a Power Steering Kit (mdl. # AR99993) for a 4WD JD 650. Local dealer quotes $1000.80. Can anyone from this forum help meget a better price?

Last Fall my JD dealer quoted me a price of $871.54 for that very kit. So it looks to me like the price is negotiable. I don't know the folks at that dealership, and don't buy there all that much. I was just a passerby who stopped in to test drive some of their new tractors. (Not JD, they also sell MF) It is a typical very large rural JD/MF dealership. They stock and sell most everything JD makes, but mostly big Ag equipment. I've noticed in the past that the non-Ag JD dealerships in some cities seem to charge more for some items.
No, I don't have a JD 650, but this PS unit more or less fits other small tractors and I am interested in doing an adaption. Considering the purpose, I would have bought it if the price had been more like $600. Of course if I owned a 650 without PS I'd have been a little more motivated....... ....
