I have a garage kept Massey MF1225 tractor with less than 70 hours on it that I bought new last year. I also have the MF1242 48" front end loader with the joystick control as well as the Farmhand EG3000 60" 3 point hitch finishing mower. I am moving so I can not take it with me. I am going to sell these items and need to get some help on how much they are worth?? Can anyone help me here?

Massey gets my vote for the "most-often-overlooked" among top tractor brands. It beats me why they are not more popular. If it is like the MF1225 I tested, it has a big operator's platform, power steering, hydro?, and is about the power of a JD 750, but more roomy...If it is hydro then it would have an independent PTO of course. 2WD or 4WD? If you are located near Denver, the dealer there is well thought of and might be able to answer your questions. ....

I live in the central PA area. It's tough because I really don't have an idea of what the tractor is worth. I have asked a dealer around here, but I get the idea that he is just looking to get the tractor and make some good money off of a unfortunate situation. ....

For the same set up (w/4wd, hydro, less the mower) I was quoted approx $18k new. I am in the Pacific NW, where tractors are not cheap, though. Roger, I think this may be why MF is overlooked? That price is too close (or over) what a Kubota B2710 or a JD 4200 comparably equipped costs, for way less HP. ....
