The following are hydraulics questions not addressed in any of the manuals (owners, service, parts) that I've looked at for my B2910.
The hydraulic loop is broken at the front connection block to connect the LA402 loader. If there was another implement that would be connected to the hydraulic loop, say a backhoe, and it could be inserted either on the supply or return side of the loader valve, which is preferred, and why?
Does the relief valve on the loader limit the pressure of the loader and everything downstream of it or does it only limit the loader pressure, alowing full pump pressure to the rest of the loop?
What is the maximum pressure rating of the hydraulic loop?
What is the maximum pressure rating of the hydraulic cylinders on the LA402 loader? I know the manual sets the relief valve at 2100 PSI, but what are the cylinders actually rated for?

Jeff, it's important to understand that the hydraulic loop is not broken at the front block, or the rear block if you have a 2910. The hydraulic blocks are by-pass blocks if nothing is hooked to the block. Fluid free flows through the block. The block is there to allow a tap point in the circuit. If a SCV is added to the front or the rear, it needs to have Power Beyond Capabilities. Power Beyond allows full pressure flow through a valve to the balance of the circuit beyond the added SCV Valve. The pressure relief in the added valve at the front or rear blocks only provides pressure relief for the SCV circuit, not the balance of the circuit beyond the valve. By nature of a Power Beyond Circuit, fluid passes through the SCV to the downstream circuit un-interupted. When a SCV spool is actuated, fluid is diverted through the activated spool. In an open center hydraulic system, you never want to interrupt the fluid flow completely. Deadheading the pump can be dangerous and costly.
I have been told that the working pressure of the cylinders is 2500psi. I don't have any documentation of that, but it seems right. Remember that the cylinders on the loader see higher pressures than the system pressure regularly from shock and load reversals. Bursting pressure will be about 50% higher than working pressure.

I understand that if there is nothing connected to the blocks that the caps serve as pass-thru devices. It's when a pass-thru cap is removed and the actual two port cap is put in place that the circuit is tapped, or the loop broken for hydraulic devices to be inserted into the main loop.
