I know I posted this same thing about a year ago but has Does anyone else with a bx2200 have this same problem?
I fill my bx2200 with the 2.9 (3qts) of oil and it requires almost another 3/4 of a qt to make it read full on the stick? I hope I am not overfilling it. Mine holds around 3.75 qts to be full but the book is clear at 2.9 with the filter change.
I figured it's almost a year later since I posted this before and there are more bx owners out there. Anyone else see the same thing?

I remember a discussion about this issuse can't remember if it was this model exactly.
But it was a dipstick switch issue. And can not remember if the book was wrong or the dipstick was. There was a lot of stuff about it. Check the archives.
Art may weigh in on this and he may have a bullentin about it. ....

I measured my dip stick on the bx2200, looks to be 19 and 1/16th of an inch. If anyone else has the same machine and could measure theirs it would be a start.
I started a link a while back and had a million different suggestions. I emailed Kubota and asked if there was a chance they put a different pan on the engine or put in the wrong dipstick and they told me it was close to impossible but yet they couldn't tell me if it was 2.9 or 3.75. I just want to see if anyone else has the same issue. ....

What does your book say as far as what it should take? Mine actually say 2.6 qts with filter.. so it's about a full qt more.
If you book says the same then I'll stop worrying about it. ....

I just did the 50hr service on my BX2230 yesterday and the capacity listed in my manual is 2.7 Quarts. That's about what I put in and with the filter changed it showed at the bottom of the marks on the dipstick. ....

Well my manual does not specify with oil filter. It says 2.6 crankcase capacity. That is what mine takes with out filter. If I change filter it takes about 1 guart more. ....

It's litted 2 times in my book. once does not specify w/ filter the other one says w/ filter ....
