2008 3cyl diesel cub cadet utility tractor will start then immediately die when let go of key. Good fuel was running fine. Researched here and replaced fuel solinoid on pump. It will run with solinoid removed. Can’t find a wiring diagram for that tractor. Only has 65 hrs. Any help???

This is a classic symptom of a safety switch fault or a failed ignition switch rather than a bad fuel solenoid. Because your tractor (likely a Yanmar-built Cub Cadet SC-series) starts when turning the key, the "Start" circuit works. When you release the key to "Run," power drops out.The CulpritsFaulty Ignition Switch: The internal contacts for the "Run" position are burned out. It provides 12V power to the fuel solenoid only while pushing/holding the key, but drops the connection as soon as you release it.Safety Switch: A safety module, PTO switch, or the seat/brake switch is triggered. The logic is cutting power to the fuel shut-off circuit.Fuel Diode or Relay: Many of these diesel tractors utilize an inline fuel relay or a diode (often located under the dash or near the fuel tank) that allows the engine to latch "ON." If blown, it kills the engine. ....
