Will not start, the fuel pump does run, lights work, starter does not turn over. Checked and starter is good. Ran fine when last used about a month ago.

I have a 7234 CK battery as it takes a good batt to heat glow plugs and start a diesel. On mine it does that once in a great while where I hear fuel pump, glow plugs heat seems everything is fine but when I turn to start I just hear clunk and nothing. SO I play w shifter wiggle around in neutral. Then heat glow plugs again turn the key to start and it starts.

Check your starter module. It is under the cover, beneath the steering wheel. It is a one inch square block, on the left in the fuse block. When that dies , it will not allow your starter to engage.
A quick way to see if that is the problem is to switch the right one for the left. If starter works then, it is the module.
