I am looking at a 1982 YM2000 (24 Hp) with 952 hours on it. It is 4wd with no attachments. What is a reasonable price for this tractor? I would say it is in average to slightly above average condition. Thanks.

Ernest, could you double check that model number? How many cylinders does it have? I think the YM2000 is a 20 Hp, 2 cylinder, 2wd built in the 1970s...
Does it have any letters after the YM2000 designation? ....

It is 24 hp. I have a 1820D and it is 22 hp. The 2000 has nothing to do with 20hp or the likes. It could be worth up to $6000 with low hours and like new shape. $5000 would be a real good take home price.

1. YM2000's were stopped in 1977. If it is a 2000B it could be 1979. No way it is a 80's tractor. If a 4WD version it should be 2000D and 2000BD. 952 hours is not really a low number compared to what you see on a lot of the greys. I bought mine in august of 99 with 750 hours. Also the 2000 is 20HP rated at the PTO and is rated 24HP engine. The japanese numbers DO correlate to the PTO HP rating. the 2000 is 20, the 1500 is 15, etc etc. Also the YM2000 is a very close match to the US model YM240. (which by the way 240 means 24HP - US engine rating). In any case they are they are great tractors but your price is plenty high. I can get you all you want for 5000. ....
