I JUST PLACED MY ORDER TODAY FOR A TC29D WITH 7308 LOADER AND 5FT BELLY MOWER. IJUST WONDERED WEATHER THE TC33D WOULD HAVE THAT MUCH MORE POWER. MY DEALER SAID THAT THE 29D WOULD HAVE PLENTY OF POWER AND THAT YOU WOULD NOT NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCE UNLESS YOU WERE BRUSH CUTTING WITH THE 3PT AND YOU WOULD JUST HAVE TO GO A LITTLE SLOWER. HE ALSO SAID THAT THE TRACTOR WOULD SPIN OUT BEFORE YOU WOULD LOOSE POWER MAKING THE EXTRA POWER UNECCESSARY. TEST DROVE THE 29D TODAY AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH IT BUT DON'T WANT TO BE SORRY ABOUT MY CHOICE, ANY THOUGHTS?

There is no replacement for displacement. If its not too late go big.How manycompact tractors will you buy in your life time (wife time)?. A bigger engine will do more work at lower RPM's and last longer with proper maintenance.I have no idea what dollar figures are involved, so its up to you. ....

From all the good things I hear about the 29D I see no point in spending the extra bucks unless it's 300 or 500 more. Check to see if the displacement is ,in fact, larger on the 33. ....

yes the displacment is 91.3 compared to the 29d at 81.2 and price would be about $700 more but also there is a wait to get one. ....

It's my understanding that the 29 is a tuned up version of the 25. The 33 actuallyhas more diplacement (and I think is physically bigger/heavier as well.) If priceis close, I'd think the 33 would be a better deal. ....

Their is two ways to look at this. In tractor lines, there are usually two plus machines to choose from i.e MF1240 to 1260, JD 4200 to 4400, Kubota L3010 to 3710, NH TC25D to TC33D all in a pacticular basic package. I feel from experience, the best way to go would be either the lowest cost unit in a machine range or the most expensive. If you go in between you will wish you went with the less expensiveone OR the more expensive one. I would suggest the TC33D, witch is an excellent unit due to the increase inengine size. ....

I had a TC29D for about a week. The hills where i live proved a little steep for the 29when using the 72" belly mower in mid range. (plus i think i had a little transmission problem). Regardless, i was wishin i had spent the few hundred dollars extra for the 33. When you are spending that much money how much is 600-700 dollars spread out over the life of the tractor. Anyway, when the dealer offfered to upgrade me, i took it. It took about 3 days for them to locate a 33D and a few more to puton all the attachments and deliver it. I should get it today or tomorrow. Enjoy your tractor............. ....

Go with the TC33D. I have been using my new TC33D in my landscape business for the past two months and love it . It does anything I ask of it without even breathing hard. Great tractor. ....

Hate to disagree with Scaper, but I think whether you get the 29 or the 33 isjust a matter of personal choice, especially for what you want to do with it. Ihave the TC29, and it's been put to a lot of HARD work, as I mostly use it forloader work. No problems, and nothing stops it! These TC's are great. ....

If you can't justify spending the money on the TC33 then why buy the TC29 the 29 and 25 are identical tractors. The only thing that NH has done is to goose the RPM's on the 29 to get the horsepower rating. The 33 has a bigger displacement engine then either the 29 or 25. So I suggst going with the TC33D with a three point rear finish mower it is eiaser toi remove if you opt for a loader and will not be in your way if you plan on doing anything else with it. ....
