Just got back from the local dealer and found a new (1.5 hours) 1630 with hydrostat and R-4 tires. It does not have folding ROPS or the deluxe 3PH arms, but I figure I can add those myself or get them to throw them in. The tractor has all the goodies like the new D models - fully enclosed engine, tilt/telescope wheel, swivel seat, etc... The shift knobs and seat are a bit faded from sitting out and it is pretty dirty. Other than that it looks like what it is - a new, 1 or 2 year old tractor. Right now it is tractor only, I have read every posting and figure the loader lists for $3250. Anybody have any thoughts on what this thing is worth?Apparently, they delivered the tractor. They lady thought it was too small and told them to bring her a bigger one (Must be nice). The dealer is checking to see if they can restart the warranty period.

1998 model - Please send any thoughts. I found out today it is a 98 model. We won't find out about the warranty till Monday (hence no price at this point). What did they sell for back in 98? Please advise. I think this thing will be a real bargain. What do you all think?

I don't know what the 1630 sold for new, but I bought one used, (a 1997 model), in September of 1999. Mine had 212 hours on it, had the five foot bucket, and five foot belly mower, all New Holland pieces of equipment. I paid 15k for it, and have been very satisfied. It is a hydro with super steer, foldable ROPS and a rear work light. Hope yours comes in with a good price. I doubt you'll be disappointed with this tractor.
Unfortunatley, I only got to use mine for a couple of months before I put it in hibernation for the winter. Can't wait till spring to try out my new box blade. (King Kutter Brand). ....

Comments please: $16,500 1997 1630D Hydro(1.5 hours), 2308 Loader with 68"HD bucket, Bushhog SQ600 (5'), King Kutter 5' box blade, R-4 tires with fluid, Boomer Mania financing, and full warranty. This is all pre-haggle. He said that "we" could get "them" to take another $500 off and that he will install the deluxe 3PH arms. This tells me there is more to be had. ....
