A new Massey Ferguson is about to roll off production lines of Millat tractors Ltd. Its a 4 cylinder version of 3 cylinder MF 240, which is the best selling tractor of PAKISTAN. There were 2 aims of Millat engineers while designing this machine. 1) To use as many parts from MF 240 as possible, so it uses the same pistons, rings, connecting rods etc as MF 240.2) To beat Belarus MTZ 50, both pricewise and performance wise. This tractor shall be priced about Rs. 400,000, in between MF 240 which sells at about Rs.300,000 and MF 375 2WD which sells at about Rs.500,000. The retail price of Belarus MTZ 50 is about Rs.470,000. Therefore this new Massey shall undercut Belarus by about Rs.70,000. 1 US dollar equals 54 Pakistani rupees. I or even the nearest Massey dealer (Pakistan Zaree industries) dont yet know its model no. At least 2 trial versions were built by Millat engineers each containing essentailly a 4 cylinder MF 240 engine, one with MF 240 rear differential and the other with MF 375 rear differential. I dont know which rear diff is present in the production version, hope its the MF 375 one, that one being larger and sturdier. Can this tractor solve the "Three cylinders? Or four?" debate. Roger, buy both the 3 cyn MF 240 and newer 4 cyn one and tell us which one is better ?

I have got some more info about this Massey. Its got body, chasis and rear diff of MF 375 (which is good news). Still dont know its model no.
....
