drchipper has a new wood chipper with 3pt hitch for compacts up to 45 hp. will BX 1500 handle it?

I think you might run into pto hp problems. I don't know what the 1500 pto hp is and what the Dr really needs. A might mac chipper/shreader who do the same job, but not tie up the tractor ....

A Salsco model 600 is one of the chippers I found on the web while looking for one for my bx1500, requiring only 8hp. Has anyone used one? ....

I have used a Woods 5000 is is specified as 15-35 hp if I remember correctly on a B6100E with a 12 hp net PTO. Worked fine if I fed a little bit slowly and limited limbs to not much more than 3". I believe that the net PTO hp on your BX1500 is greater than that. ....

The PTO hp on a BX1500 is listed at 10.6, however if you were careful not to overload the engine, you could probably use implements rated up to 15 hp. Just keep in mind that the engineers at Kubota have good reasons behind their numbers. ....
