I recently acquired a L210 tractor. I cannot get the tractor to start on it's own it will pull start but will not fire on starter alone. It's suppose to have new glow plugs has new battery the starter has been rebuilt. The glow plugs appear to work but not real well there is a coil under the fuel tank that smokes when you activate the plugs. How are you suppose to use the decompression valve?
Help

I have a 1974 l210- make sure connections are clean at switch-starter--Ground etc-Charge battery up-
Decomp- when starting Cold - use glow plugs- count to about 25- pull Decomp all the way out- try to start - then ease decomp all the way in after the starter-engine are turning- should start then-
